Hi! I’m Ezra (they/them), an illustrator, zinester & multi-disciplinary creator living on a small farm in Western Massachusetts with queer chosen family. I have a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design & a M.Ed. in Visual Arts from Lesley University, though these days I’m more of a freelancer than a teaching artist.
My creative work often explores themes of monstrosity (especially as it connects with marginalized identities), magic & folklore, Jewish history & culture, disability justice & fat liberation, and queer/trans community. I enjoy working in both traditional & digital media, in 2D & 3D, greyscale & color, as well as in forms outside of visual art (mainly writing, but occasionally theater & music).
My clients & collaborators have included TTRPG publishers like Hit Point Press, The Gauntlet, Buried Without Ceremony, & Glowing Roots Press; literary & comics publishers including Cambridge University Press, Berger Books (an imprint of Dark Horse), Power & Magic Press, PM Press, AK Press, and OwlCrate; I’ve also made album art for musicians like Jordan Wax and Yotzeret Sheydim as well as logos for individuals & organizations. I self-publish zines both in print and online (check the “shop” section to find them) and sell my own original artwork online and at local shows.
