Hi! I’m Ezra (they/them), an illustrator, zinester & multi-disciplinary creator with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a M.Ed. from Lesley University.
I currently work as a freelance artist, a part-time teacher, and a co-owner on the small sustainable farm in Western Massachusetts where I live with my queer chosen family. I also sell my own original work (zines, crafts, prints & more) both online and at local shows.
My creative work explores themes of monsters, magic, queer/trans identity, and Jewish culture, with a strong element of visual storytelling throughout. I’ve always been more interested in communication and expression than in focusing on a particular medium or technique, so my personal art ranges from pen & ink drawings to assemblage sculpture, painting, and mixed media experiments. Cohesion comes in the form of an aesthetic that values strangeness, intricacy & detail, and connections to the past.
My clients & collaborators have included Cambridge University Press, Berger Books (an imprint of Dark Horse), PM Press, AK Press, Hit Point Press, The Gauntlet, Power & Magic Press, Buried Without Ceremony, & Glowing Roots Press. I self-publish zines both in print and online (check the “shop” section to find them)!
